The mailboxes are not collapsed. Only the All Inbox can be collapsed. I can only view the iCloud mail boxes. The other 4 accounts are not in the mailbox list other than the inbox in the all inbox list. As for having to interact with the toolbar, Like I said, sometimes there is no toolbar.
