Therefore, we do not believe that John’s diagnosis is a death sentence, and we will not act as though it is. We do not intend to gather to say goodbye, but rather to encourage John, and remind him of God’s healing power. Because it is absolutely critical for John to hear words of life and not words of death, words of healing and not words of sickness, and words of victory rather than words of defeat, we will not entertain discussion of such negative topics, as they would be detrimental. If you are not a believer, or you do not believe God’s healing power is real, we would ask you to keep any comments you choose to offer strictly to thanks to John for how he has helped you.
