My friends, By now, many of you know that John Panarese of Mac For the Blind has been dealing for some time with what doctors are calling terminal cancer, and that he has recently entered into hospice care. Many of you have had your lives touched by this amazing man, by his teachings, his support, his friendship, his vibrant personality, and so on. At TTJ and SturItUp, we consider John to be much more than a fellow trainer, but a mentor, a sounding board, and a great friend.
It is in that spirit that we wish to announce an evening of encouragement, to be held this Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 8PM Eastern Time in Zoom. Anyone is welcome to attend, and no registration is required. What to Expect: This evening <x-apple-data-detectors://embedded-result/733> of encouragement will be a chance for everyone to share their appreciation for John, and for what he does for the community - an opportunity to say thank you for decades of tireless effort and commitment to a cause about which John feels incredible passion. It is a chance to let him know that your life has been made better because of him. It is also an opportunity for believers in Christ to share prayers and praise to God for John’s healing. Please be advised that this event is being hosted by men of faith, believers in Christ who are certain that healing is God’s will, that it is part of why Jesus died on the cross. We put the Bible, God’s living Word, above what any doctor says, and above even what present circumstances may seem to indicate. Therefore, we do not believe that John’s diagnosis is a death sentence, and we will not act as though it is. We do not intend to gather to say goodbye, but rather to encourage John, and remind him of God’s healing power. Because it is absolutely critical for John to hear words of life and not words of death, words of healing and not words of sickness, and words of victory rather than words of defeat, we will not entertain discussion of such negative topics, as they would be detrimental. If you are not a believer, or you do not believe God’s healing power is real, we would ask you to keep any comments you choose to offer strictly to thanks to John for how he has helped you.
