When is the next Apple event, anyone know? I may wait until I hear before I decide on an Apple watch.

That's right, I had forgotten about that. I have the Series 8, and mine still
has the oxygen sensor. It isn't something I typically use, but I just tried it
to see if it was still available to me and how it worked. I purchased my Apple
Watch long before that lawsuit, though. New Apple Watches will be coming in a
few months. It will be interesting to hear what new features and capabilities
they will have.

Hi ET,
I have the series 9. But one thing to know is that Apple got sued for a patent
violation with the Oxygen sensor. So The watch 9 no longer comes with that
capability. With that in mind, depending on your needs of course, you might
want to consider the less expensive series 8. It also contains the emergency
alert technology and the fall detection.
Cheers,
Donna

Donna and others,
Appreciate the input. This is quite interesting, the potential benefits. I
took a quick look and see that the series 9 starts at about $400 and the Ultra
2 at about $700 something. I think the series 9 warrants a further look. Which
model do you have? Thanks much.

Hi ET,
Not Jonathan, but the watch has:
Emergency alerts
Fall detection
Heart monitoring, including EKG
I know from personal experience that the emergency feature on the watch works
quite well. A year and a half ago, when I was in a car accident, my watch
called 911, and also all of my emergency contacts.

Donna

Hi all,
I am considering some kind of medical device that can interface with the
health app. Can't think off hand the names of these devices but something that
can be useful in the event I have a medical emergency. Thanks.
