Hi Mary,

Geoff is correct that you can check or uncheck specific apps for syncing. Try the following for your Mac:

1. Select "iPod Touch" under Devices in your Sources table. One way to do this: a. VO-I to bring up item chooser menu, type in "d e" for "Devices" and select this
b. VO-Down arrow to "iPod Touch"
2. Navigate to the iTunes window for your device settings: Stop interacting (VO-Shift-Up Arrow), VO-Right Arrow twice (you'll hear "iPod Settings, scroll area"), and interact (VO-Shift-Down Arrow) 3. Navigate (VO-Right arrow) to the "Apps" tab and press it (VO- Space). VO-Left arrow back to "Summary" 4. Navigate (VO-Down arrow) to "Sync Apps check box", which you want to leave checked to sync apps 5. VO-Down arrow again to the pop up button "Sort by Name". You have the option to change this by pressing (VO-Space) to "Sort by Category" or "Sort by Date" 6. (Optionally) VO-Right arrow to the search text field for apps. You have the option to type in part of a name here to narrow down the listed apps (you may not need this now, but I do!). If you use this, VO-Left arrow back to the pop up button before continuing.
7. VO-Down Arrow to the Apps Table and interact (VO-Shift-Down arrow)
8. VO-Down Arrow to hear each listed app announced. These are grouped, so interact again if you want to change the status and VO- Space to check or uncheck the checkbox. 9. Stop interacting (VO-Shift-Up arrow) and VO-Down arrow to the next entry. 10. When you're done, stop interacting with the table (VO-Shift-Up arrow), then navigate (VO-Right arrow) to either the "Cancel" or the "Apply" button and press (VO-Space).

Pressing the "Apply" button will sync your selected applications. Also, the Apps Table is a scrolling table, so use VO-Fn-Shift-Left arrow (VO-Home) and VO-Fn-Shift-Right arrow (VO-End) to move to the beginning or end of the table, where I've listed the laptop key sequences first.

HTH

Cheers,

Esther

Hi Geoff,
I don't think the method you describe with the Windows version of Itunes is available with a Mac. I've tried vo with arrows and tabbing and interacting with the things I see that look like they might offer something and what you describe isn't there; at least, I'm sure not seeing it on the mac.
