Jessica, I now understand. I can simply insert a USB drive directly into the cartridge slot. I have many, many thumb drives and they all fit just fine. Last night I gave it a try and the trick was to insert the drive in the very middle of the cartridge slot, eh?

But if your particular thumb drive won't fit in the cartridge slot and doesn't require power to power up plugging it into the usb port on the side should work just as easily. Just when you insert the drive into the cartridge slot just make sure that you have the drive the right way and don't force it in. Once it is lined up it goes right in.
