You can use windows on an M1 Mac mini. The only way I found to do this is to download a program called UTM. You then need to get an ISO image of Windows 11, the version of Windows that seems to run on ARM processors, and install that into UTM. The setup was a little bit tricky, but definitely doable. I also use my Mac mini without a monitor. The only issue I had in setting it up was the requirement that I needed a mouse or a trackpad. If you don’t plan on using one long-term, you could always buy a trackpad, use it for set up, and take advantage of Apple‘s 14 day return policy to return the trackpad. However, if you ever need to boot into the recovery partition for any reason, you will need the trackpad, so it might just be best to keep the trackpad in case you ever need it again.
