Hi Les, I have had this problem for a while now, since way before getting the new Mac. I have no idea what causes it or how to solve it, but I can tell you that turning VO off, waiting a couple seconds and then turning VO back on usually allows Mail to close. Sorry I don’t have a better solution, but at least this is better than nothing. Cheers, Donna
