If the download completed you will hear something like 'there is no
items'. If one is still in progress you will find it in the downloads table.

table and intaract with it. VO-shift-down arrow. Interact again with
the download in progress. Thie table can have multiple downloads

you’re trying to download from is allowing downloads? When
Catalina came out last year, the safari that came out at the same
time requires you to approve downloads from domains.
