Hello Anne,
it kind of worked, but not as I expected. Whenever I launch pages, I
press command plus n, but instead of opening my custom template, the
template chooser shows up, so I press escape and press command plus n
again, and finally pages opens my custom template. I don't know why...
Best,
Leo

Hello Leo,
In Pages Preferences, I think you have to click on Change template and
reselect your preferred one then press Choose. Close Preferences and
your chosen template should be shown. Close the window and quit Pages,
then reopen Pages and all should be well.
This works for me under Mojave, and for my husband under Catalina.
Cheers,
Anne

Hi everyone,
For some time I haven’t used pages, but I noticed it got updated
several weeks ago. During these days I opened the app to jot down a
few instructions, and I came across with a pesky issue. Pages doesn’t
open the custom template that I’ve been using for long time as my
default template, and instead of that, it shows me the template
chooser. I went to preferences to check if the last update had messed
with some of my customized settings, but everything was as it’s
supposed to be set. However, I repeated the steps to set again my
favorite template as my default template, but pages keeps ignoring
this and every time I launch the app and press command plus n, it
shows me the template chooser.
Is this a known issue on this last update? or Am I missing something
here?
Best,
Leo
