Yes I think this is the issue if you look on the apple app it will give you 
estimates for any apple products registered to your Apple ID and really if the 
model is too old they don’t want it and even newish ones don’t generate that 
much so it depends on what you want to trade.

I am not sure about what happens after you decide to do it as like Tim never 
bothered as it wasn’t worth the postage etc
