Hi ET, Yeah there are a number of those available.
You have the lightening to both usb a and or now usb-C depending on how you wish to charge your phone. There is as you say camera lightening to USB female connectors for camera direct connections, And lightening to sD card readers which I know were read only, but they may now have changed to write as well as read I did also years ago get a Lightening / USB-A flash drive which allowed you to write data to, I think it was from strontium and used an app called one to move or backup photos to the flash drive.
