When do I know that I am in the body field? I am sorry. Sometimes, when I am in the body field, VO says I should interact because it is a web area. If I don’t interact, navigation keystrokes don’t work. Somehow, Windows environment seems much straightforward at this point. No, you don't need to be interacting with anything when creating a new Mail message. Just press cmd-n to start. Your cursor should start in the "To" field, then press tab twice to get to the next edit field which is the cc field, etc. Press cmd-shift-d to send it after you're done. Later... The keyboard command for creating an alias is cmd-l. As already mentioned, use cmd-delete to put an item into the Trash. With respect to Mail, use cmd-n to start a new Mail message, use cmd-r to reply to a message you have just read, use cmd-shift-d to send the message you just composed. Use Delete to delete a message.
