Well Donna we managed quite well without all that noise for years,
didn't we? What we had in iOS 12 was just fine. Now I need to stumble
through that long list and turn most of them off.

get this behavior changed.
The other one is overactive haptics. It's called Voiceover Haptic Feedback.
You can turn this off completely, or choose what items to turn off
individually. Go to Settings, Accessibility, Voiceover, Audio.
