Update: I found that it is doable so am going to move the backup now
and sleep all day while waiting. :)

off, you should be able to erase the partition. TM puts a lock on the
volume, which is why you cannot erase that partition. It is possible

There are 4 partitions on a USB drive. The one Time Machine uses will

First Aid fails and I cannot erase the TM partition. Any way to
