Karen, it has nothing to do with voices being broken. Even if he did download a 
new version of the voice, it would still crash on him. Again, this is a bug 
with 10.12 that 2010 Mac models had and it didn't get fixed until 10.13. So my 
original question remains. Can he upgrade to High Sierra? If not and he likes 
Alex, I would strongly suggest downgrading back to El Capitan if he still has 
it.
