Petrus,
Editing a single song or multiple songs is the same process except
you will be prompted to confirm that you want to multiple items.
Find the song you want to edit and press command i for Get Info. You
will land on the Details button which is selected by default. VO right
to the details scroll area and interact with it. Scroll down to genre
and press VO space on the combo box and choose the genre. Stop
interacting and navigate to the Ok button and press it. You're done.

I give up, you guys make it sound easy but I’m totally confused. I made
sure list view was checked in the iTunes preferences and then I tried to
select the songs I wanted in a album and then do command I and it brings
up info from a totally different album. I’m obviously missing something
simple.

Hi,
Totally doable. Simply select the song, songs, or titles within an
album then press cmd-i to Get Info on the songs. Either press tab
until you find the Genre field, or VO navigate to the Scroll area,
interact with it and navigate to the Genre field. When focused on
this field, you can VO-space to choose from the available genres, or
type one in yourself if you'd prefer to create your own. Navigate to
the OK button and press it and voila, all done.

Hi All,
Not sure if this can be done, but is there a way of changing the genre
of a song or album in my music collection in my iTunes library? I’ve
ripped most of my CD collection to my Mac now but some of them clearly
are not the genre that iTunes says they are. When I’m at work I like
to choose a genre and set it to shuffle so I get a random selection of
songs, and I’ll suddenly get one that I’m not expecting.
Thanks in advance,
