Hello Wayne,

Okay, in my opinion, the best way to perform a completely clean disk
wipe/format and reinstall is to use a USB key installer.

Now I don't know if you have read about such a technique and I will not attempt
to provide a comprehensive description of the method. But, genrally speaking,
you can create a USB install key containing Mojave. Then, with the USB key
inserted into an available USB port on your computer, you can boot to that key
and from there, you can format your internal storage and perform a clean
install of Mojave.

I will provide a link, here, that will give you the steps for creating an
install key.

As for booting to the correct drive from system Startup, assuming that you
cannot log into VoiceOver, you will need some sighted assistance in selecting
the correct drive. However, once that is done, you can enable VoiceOver and
perform the disk format and OS install, independently.

Now I'll tell you that this is not terribly complicated but it is not something
I would recommend for a novice, either.

The link to the steps on how to create an install key is:

Okay, good luck.

Mark
