Leo,

To add to Alex's instructions, know that the menus are slightly different in the MacOS as compared to Windows.  That is, in Windows, the File, Edit, View etc menus are attached to the window of the application, whereas, the menus are permanently connected to the Desktop screen.  So, as Alex mentioned, VO-m will always access the menu bar whenever there is a menubar to be had.  From a visual prospective, the menubar resides at the top of the screen in all applications.  Items like Toolbars and ribbons reside within the window itself, thus can be access with regular VO navigation commands while in that window.

This works in all applications: press vo-m. In case you're not familiar, the VO keys are control and option together. You can choose to use caps lock as well, but that's a different post.

You would hold down control and option, press m, then let the keys go. VoiceOver should announce that you're on the Apple menu. Press right arrow to get to the file menu, which should be two presses over, then down arrow to open the menu. You can now start typing "export", hitting enter when you land on it, or just down arrow to it. To clarify, you don't need to type the full word you want, just enough letters to find it. Again, this works in any menu in any application.l

As I said in my introduction I'm totally new on macos systems.  Now what I want to do is this, since I'm using pages I want to know how to export a pages document to another format just like the support appple web site says it might be done.

here is what they say:

1.

2.

Open the document, then choose File > Export To > [/file format/]
(from the File menu at the top of your screen).

The File menu open with Export To selected, with its submenu
showing export options for PDF, Word, Plain Text, Rich Text
    Format, EPUB, and Pages '09.

3.

    Specify export settings:

but happens to be I can't find the file tab, when I'm in pages and I go to the
tool bar, I start interacting with with it but when I move right or left I
only find the viiew, insert, table, chart, etc.
but as I said I can't find the file tab or menu.
I need help here please.
I'm using latest version of macos high sierra and just downloaded pages few
days ago.
