You need to learn to use diskutil from the command line. This is best accomplished by ssh into the Mac from another machine, because you're more likely to get good screen reader support that way. Voice Over isn't the best when run in Terminal, which is the native way to do this.
Note that diskutil is not the same as the application called Disk Utility in the Utilities folder. I believe I previously sent you a pointer about this?
