After going to the Pit toilet or whatever people call a wooden shed, a
well-trained guide dog should be able to take their handler back to the camping
area. Dogs not even trained by schools have taken their totally blind persons
back to the camping area with no problem. As for the person who hopefully was
flippant when he mentioned about bribing a dog to work, must be a certified
trainer for one of the California guide dog schools in the U S. Who, if they
are not suggesting they will give you a guide if you have or provide sex for
them and if you don't you don't get a guide dog. Or, they find some fictitious
reason to keep back a guide dog and send you home sans guide dog because they
secretly take a bribe to keep the dog so when, they retire the following year,
they have a nest egg to fall back on. Oh, I forgot to mention the trainer who
on an interview with a potential guide dog user, asked where the bathroom was,
clear directions were given but, on the way to that room, he opened closed
doors and looked in each room including passing the washroom and looking in
that bedroom as well. One must wonder if he cannot follow clear directions to a
place. How can he properly train a dog? Or, if he does that in a stranger's
home, what will he do on class? Will he too, make a nocturnal visit to a
female student's bedroom and have sex with her as well? These kinds of male and
female trainers give the good trainers a bad name and the schools where they
are working as well.

I don't really get this,

What sort of camp out areas do you folks have over there?

Over here you walk in to the bush and dig a hole where no one else can see you
then squat!

And if need be drop a match on the paper to get rid of the waste.

Fill the hole in and go back to yoru tent.

If you are staying in what we call a camping ground then there must be some
kind of road way, have the dog follow the edge of the road in the direction of
the toilet block and then when it gets near have the dog find it as it should.

Of course finding your way back to the lodging might be different but surely
the dog can smell it's food or someone can keep an eye out for you on the return

Scott I'm pretty sure, you're going to have something to say about this. But I
hate to burst your bubble. Tim's information is correct to an extent. However
yours is completely wrong. If you have no service whatsoever on your device,
the phone, will not pick up a GPS location. I have recently tried this. When
I've had absolutely no service. The only way it works, when you have no
service. As if you have previously loaded your route, before you lost service.
So I hope this clarifies things.
