let me clarify/there are differences but for me, not ones that are show
stoppers as far as usage. I mean, I have a toshiba qosmio g55 q804, so I have
no need for sd card readers. and it also has firewire. so I'm happy with my
model. and we're blind so who needs a backlit keyboard anyway? for the price
though it is sure worth it if you want those extra features, but people will
always point out flaws in laptops but 1 unit just can't have everything, unless
you get a desktop replacement like the toshiba qosmio line of laptops. they
kick ass by the way, but so does my mac. also, there might be usb extentions
that have firewire capabilities so theres ways around things if need be, and
probably cheaper than the mbp in the long run. I'd rather pay what I did for my
extra rap than pay $100 for a firewire port. I have airport exreme and all the
other stuff that comes with the mbp and I was going to get the mbp but it did
not catch my eye as much. looks and stability pretty much the same. sexy as
always/getting hard jsut thinking about it lol.

Umm. I think your mistaken. you have the firewire port, and the ability to
upgrade to a faster processor, more RAM, and I could be wrong on this point but
I don't think the plastic Macbook has a memory card reader. I think there are
many differences.

I love my mb and it might as well be the mb pro and if you stop and think
there really aren't any differences in either model.

That's a good model! Just the right size and price, and with 4 gigs of
ram that thing will fly!

Hey that's cool. Good luck with it when you get it. Which one did you
 get? 13 inch, 15 or 17?
