Hi Tracy and Scott, Like Kliph, we cut the chord over a year ago now. We also still use our Apple TV 4th Gen, and have been quite happy with it, though of course, one's satisfaction with any such device will depend in large degree to what content one wants to watch. We find most of the shows we want, though we do also have a library of favorite TV shows and movies. Tracy, not sure what you mean by being concerned that Apple TV is tied to your cable provider. It is tied to your ISP, as you need an internet connection, but that would be the same with any device, so far as I know. HTH, Donna
