Hi, I've modified one of my scripts to do what you're asking. It's not perfect, but it does the job. Basically, when you run it, it skips forward, takes note of the track, then flips back to the same time as when you left. You'll hear a very short pause in the current song, but nothing to write home about. As always, for best results, it is best to set up a keyboard commander for this script. It's named "Announce Next Song" and can be found in the iTunes folder at the following link.

The current playlist doesn't seem to change as songs are played, and when I started playing my music in random order, the first item in the current playlist was not the first item to be played. I also looked at the miniplayer with up next as the view, and if one sets a hot spot on the table of up-next, it lets you know the hotspot data was deleted after the song on the hotspot is played. So the hot spot is associated with the song in the up-next and not with the play order if that makes sense. So it looks like to Apple You must go! I just looked in iTunes' scripting dictionary, and there's no mention of accessing up next information. This is something you could ask Apple to include (www.apple.com/feedback <http://www.apple.com/feedback>), but it's not currently available as far as I could tell. -- Alex Hall > On Apr 11, 2017, at 17:48, Des Delgadillo <desdelgadi...@gmail.com > <mailto:desdelgadi...@gmail.com>> wrote: > > Hi all, > Not sure if there is a Vo script that does this, but I would like to be able > to hit a custom hot key and have Voiceover speak whatever track is going to > play next on iTunes.
