Really easy way to do this is use the terminal from within your mac os, So long as you have the installation package in your applications folder you just write the command Sudo /Applications/Install|MacOS|Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/Createinstallationmedia --volume /Volume/USB-Device --applicationpath /Applications/Install|MacOS|Sierrra.app
Give or take a couple of spaces and spelling mistakes the command is along that line. Doing a search for how to create Mac OS installer USB within Google should give you the ansers, All you have to do is ensure you have the latest update Hope that helps. I have used disk maker X to create an installer from 10.12, but not sure if this there is an easyer way to do this as I want to be able to do a clean install. In other words I want to erase the drive and have it repartisioneed if that makes any sense. I have tried recovery disk assistant, but every time I open it it just tells me recovery disk assisstant has no windows. What are people using to do this? I am hopping to get a new external drive soon and from there I should be able to do what I want. I just want to be clear. Thanks.
