Hi John, I've not actually tried this system myself as its bloody costly here in NZ, about 10K per year to have but
There is a system out there that is a continuous glucose monitoring system which is a sensor that is inserted in to the body somewhere and then continually monitors your blood glucose levels and through an app on your phone / device will tell you all you need to know about your test results etc. I'm not sure if the app is accessible or the name of the system but it may be worth a look in to. I myself have a Care Sens N Voice system which is a little Blood Glucose Monitor that can connect to your computer via a USB data cable, A propriatory cable USB a male on one end and a 2.5mm head phone jack type plug on the other for plugging into the back of the sensor Then using a software package you can upload data to your computer and show it as it is or export in to excel etc. Hope this helps. I hope there's someone out there with diabetes with experience with a glucose meter that works well with your iPhone and voiceover. If anybody can make a recommendation or share any thoughts I would appreciate it. I don't want to just be able to port the information for logging but I'd like something that either has good speech itself, or relies on the iPhone.
