I agree. Folks, it's not gonna be a big deal. And beside, look at what Apple
did with the headphone jack in the iPhone7, just to drive John's point back
home... they gave us an adapter included free of charge in the box. My point
being, Apple may do something that sucks, but usually they'll find away to
compensate.

I think it comes down to the whole fear of change or the unknown. People
speculate about a change, they speculate more and they start assuming the
worse. It’s happen so many times over the years with technology that I am at
the point in which I don’t even bother reading the FUD that comes out. I
particularly discard it all faster when the new device or change hasn’t even
hit the market yet, like the whole flap over the headphone jack being removed
from the iPhone 7. How many months did that all get bandied about before there
actually was an iPhone 7 in the wild?

How many people were worried and dare I say even tried to create a panic storm

not having voice over and so on and so forth.

I don’t see that MacBook air design ever hitting the market only because
there’s not enough room in that form factor as well as a way to dissipate the
heat. You think the air can run warm, try a quad core MacBook 15 inch with all
that extra metal for a heatsink. Besides, they want to sell you a MacBook pro
if you need that kind of horsepower for an extra 2000.:)

Frankly, I just want something I can implant on my brain that gives me

that matter, how nice would it be to just download language packs or skills.

I just saw an article talking about how you can re-map and existing key,
such as control, caps lock, command or option, to take the place of the escape
key which is going away on the new MacBooks to be revealed on Thursday. There
will still be that functionality on the new magic track bar or whatever they're
calling it. But if you are a person who wants to have a hardware escape key,
you will have to remap an existing key to get it. For those of you who use caps
lock for voiceover, good luck. I have no idea how that Mike coexist with this
new functionality. Or you're stuck with the new magic track bar and it's soft
functionality. Could be interesting.
