Hi, When you start up and setup or configure your new mac when it start up it should prompt you for any Bluetooth devices, This will allow you to pair your track pad.
Yes the button on the right hand end of the battery compartment is the on / off button, hold it for a second should turn it on If the Bluetooth keyboard / mouse setup after start up doesn’t work then use your keyboard to go in to system preferences and under Bluetooth pair the trackpad there, it’s not diffifuclt. Good luck. Also, is the button on the opposite side from where the batteries insert an on off button, or does it just lock the track pad? If the latter, is there no way to turn it off so it won't continue to consume battery? Thanks in advance for any information.
