Since I still view my iPhone as a phone, I do not use it heavily.
Main use at the moment is phone calls and text messaging. I could
probably go 2-3 days before the charge drops below 20%. But generally, I
rarely let it go below 75% in case of major storms or other natural
disasters such as earthquakes so I charge it at least every other night.

Thanks much. About how long does your battery last before getting down to, say,
10%?

I myself have auto lock set to never. I will manually lock the phone when I
am not going to use it. You also can set brightness to zero. I have most apps
set to never use data if there is no wifi.
This article may provide more ideas.

Thanks much. those are things I’ve tried, including the home/power button reset.
I think I’ve found the culprit. I had my auto lock set to “never”. This sucks
one’s battery dry. Setting it back to 5 minutes does help significantly.
I had it set for “never” because I was taking notes during a day-long meeting
and didn’t want to have to keep unlocking my phone.
My other question though is how to remove things from the lock screen. I’ve got
a lot of stuff on there I don’t really want or need and it does drain battery.
Then to tackle the data issue.

Hi Jenine,
Have you tried clearing out the app switcher?
Sometimes that can cause problems.
You might also want to consider a fresh restore just to be sure it's not
software related.
After that if you're still experiencing issues a trip to the Apple Store is in
order.
Kind regards,

I think I recall someone else having this issue recently but for some reason my
phone battery is draining at what I think is an alarming rate. I’m also using
data at an alarming rate. I’m checking the settings and have the wifi mode
turned off that uses data when there’s a weak celular signal.
Not sure what’s causing the huge battery drain though. I’m going into the
battery settings to see how much each app is using but that doesn’t seem to
match the drain I’m experiencing.
Thoughts?
