Youcaninstall from a timemachine back up or if you have a thunderbolt cable or the ability to connect your old machine to your new machine, For older machines I use a firewire cable and then a firewire to thunderbolt adaptor and then start your old machine up in to target disk mode, that's shut it right off and then start it up while holding the key letter T down and it will appear as basically an external drive on your new machine. Then one of the setup screans is to migrate your data from another location and then you can choose your other machine.
