Subject: Re: does a mac need both VM Ware and bootcamp to run windows

Hi Ronda,

Merry Christmas to you and Ben. :)

No, both are not needed to switch over to Windows. I have little experience
with VM Ware but used boot camp quite a bit.

If you restart your Mac, and when you here the start up chime hold down the
option key, you will be place on a screen to select which OS you want to boot
into. Sadly there is no Voiceover on this screen. But you will only have 3
options. Recovery HD, Mac OS X, and Windows. Pressing the left/ right arrows
will navigate through the options, and enter will select. If you could possibly
have someone tell you how many times you need to press the arrows to land on
windows, you’ll be golden.

I hope this helps.

Again, great to see you on here.

I have both on my system and have difficulty switching between windows and the
mac system; I do not see the bootcamp disc in the settings to select which disc
one wants to startup.
Thanks for any thoughts.
