Hi Ronda, Merry Christmas to you and Ben. :)
No, both are not needed to switch over to Windows. I have little experience with VM Ware but used boot camp quite a bit. If you restart your Mac, and when you here the start up chime hold down the option key, you will be place on a screen to select which OS you want to boot into. Sadly there is no Voiceover on this screen. But you will only have 3 options. Recovery HD, Mac OS X, and Windows. Pressing the left/ right arrows will navigate through the options, and enter will select. If you could possibly have someone tell you how many times you need to press the arrows to land on windows, you’ll be golden. I hope this helps. Again, great to see you on here. > On Dec 27, 2015, at 9:23 AM, Rhonda Partain <rhonda.part...@att.net> wrote: > > I am just wondering if both VM-Ware Fusion and Bootcamp are needed in order > to run Windows on a mac? > I have both on my system and have difficulty switching between windows and > the mac system; I do not see the bootcamp disc in the settings to select > which disc one wants to startup. > Thanks for any thoughts. > Rhonda “Who know very little about the Mac” > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries > list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your Mac Visionaries list moderator is Mark Taylor and your owner is Cara > Quinn - you can reach Cara at caraqu...@caraquinn.com > > The archives for this list can be searched at: > http://www.mail-archive.com/macvisionaries@googlegroups.com/ > --- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "MacVisionaries" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to macvisionaries+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > To post to this group, send email to macvisionaries@googlegroups.com. > Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/group/macvisionaries. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
