Hi, Subject line pretty much says it. I've tried to copy large blocks of
files on my mac before and it drops data. Also, because I'd be running through
usb and my system is a macbook, there's a chance the cable could get jostled or
something and completely abort the copy resulting in a data dump.

So, is there a secure way to copy enormous amounts of data drive to drive? I
can't image the drives because my source drives are four TB but my destinations
are two TB. I looked at RSYNC but it doesn't seem to support local copying. I
could copy chunks of 100 gb or less and compare at every step of the way, but
damn! It's christmas and I don't get to see my family much. I'm kind'a hoping
to hang out with them for a bit. :)

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Erik Burggraaf
