That doesn't always work. What if the person's from address doesn't show there
due to certain lists configurations, but instead shows the list address.

Chris.

Chris, I normally navigated the from field after hitting reply. Then once I'm
at the front field, I do a shift right arrow till I get the address selected
that I want to select. After the address is selected, I do command seat for
coffee. Then I shift tab to the to field. And I delete the. Then I replaced it
with the address that I want to address the message to. If you find another way
of doing this, please let me know as inquiring minds would love to know.

    John,

I recall it being actually over 5, but, that's neither here nor there.

BTW, will you please e-mail me off list? I have a few questions for you,
but I've not learned yet on the mac ow to extract someone's e-mail address from
a list message.

My question wouldn't be suitable for this list though.

    My address is:

As for the manual download, you can get any software from the
Apple.com website from the support page. Just do a search for the manual
updater for El Capitan.

I definitely only have one Apple ID, and it was already signed in.
that said however, I did sign out and back in. I don't recall if I rebooted or
not, though with my level of tech skill, it wouldn't surprise me if I did.

I’m assuming you had already gotten up and running with 10.11.1
before you tried the update? I probably would have signed out of the Mac App
store, rebooted the system and then signed back into the store just to see what
would occur. There are a couple of factors, but that would depend on there own
factors as well, such as Apple ID’s being used, ETC.

              Guys,

This isn't really a big deal per sé, but it does have me a little
bit curious.

I have a white polycarbon mid 2010 13 inch macbook, which has El
Capitan.

For some reason, my mac got really really sluggish, and was
practically locking up every second I'd turn my head. I ran all the necessary
disk and permission repairs etc. Nothing at all seemed to be helping. My
suspicion is that I had an app installed which was really bogging down the
system, although even looking through Activity Monitor, it was a little hard to
determine.

For this reason and a few others, I went ahead and bit the bullet
by simply just repartitioning the drive, wiping it, and starting clean. The
weird thing is, I noticed when I went to the mac app store to download El
Capitan, so I could use Disk Maker X to create my bootable media, I noticed
that 10.11.2 was available, although, I only had 10.11.1. Weirdly enough,
though I am not on any beta, private nor public at this given time, and though
I'm not currently even enrolled with this mac for the beta in the first place,
Software Update simply put, would not, try as I may, let me install nor
download the 10.11.2 update. It kept telling me no updates were available. I
say it's not a big deal, as I simply just went the manual route, and manually
downloaded it, but why would it be there in the app store, yet Software update
not see it? To me, that makes entirely no sense. Yes, I have my security
settings configured in System Prefs to notify of OS updates, and never have I
had an issue like this previously.

It just has me a bit bathled.

Any ideas? As for the post news of this message, LOL, I did
manage to get 10.11.2 installed from the manual download/install I performed.
I also have found that things no longer are sluggish at all.

              Chris.
