Glad you got it working. I don't know why there's a scroll area there, since 
tables are automatically scroll areas. Maybe anyone who is annoyed by this can 
email Apple and let them know? There are other areas where scroll areas have 
been hidden or removed, to offer one less layer to VoiceOver, and it would be 
good if this were one more such area. That said, you can just press up or down 
arrow on the scroll area, without interacting with it or the table, to read and 
select files. In fact, the only times I interact that far down are when I need 
to either read a file name character by character, or select multiple items 
that aren't sequential. Otherwise, arrowing around on the scroll area works 
perfectly.
