I was quite sure that this would probably wind up being the case. this is one 
reason why I always tell people: back up back up back up! I cannot stress that 
enough! Back up!

i'm not sure what types of changes would have been made within your disk 
partition. Anyway, as I said… Definitely a good thing to know.
