No question about learning the Mac is stupid. I did the same thing: fought with 
it off an on for a year while using Windows, then finally had to use the Mac 
when NVDA completely stopped working thanks to a bad speech driver back when 
Nuance voices first came out. Once I got the hang of it in those few weeks, I 
stayed with it, and now I dread the days I have to work with Windows for family 
or clients. Don't forget that, right on the homepage of AppleVis.com, we have a 
link to a bunch of resources for getting started with the Mac--podcasts, 
guides, and the like.
