I proceeded to do what you had suggested, but I am now sitting in front my
computer with a lock and password field. I have tried using most of the
passwords I have had in the past, but none of them have worked. I believe
that my former roommates may have gone in and changed my password and went
in when it was still on but I wasn't home. Is there a way to get around
this issue so that I can do what you have suggested with repairing the
disk? If so, how? If not, where do I go from here?
