If you go into system preferences, then speech and dictation, then go to the text to speech tab, there is a checkbox to automatically speak incoming alerts. So, I'm ever so slightly confused. Is there really much of a need for Growl anymore, being that this feature has seemed to be directly implemented directly into OSX?
Sorry, if I'm missing something here. Honestly, I've not used Growl in ages, and when I did, I found it to be incredibly annoying. All, Have downloaded the above app. Does the program have to be open so I can get push notifications from Trillian or other events? Can’t seem to get into the status menu using VO. Your help is appreciated.
