Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of
thread view; not totally sure why. This however being said, Alex does have
a very good idea here by trying to utilize thread view. Though I don't
normally use it, I definitely know how! to use it, and would be more than
happy to assist anyone who'd like to learn.

I'd also add that most of the problems seem to be from a very tiny group of
users, and if you use threaded conversations, it's easy to simply delete the
conversations you know won't have any value. I'm staying because, overall, I
still receive and can offer valuable help from and to members of the list.
Hopefully, most of the people here will stick this out and keep this list as
the great resource it has been for years. Without this group, I doubt I'd
ever have learned to use my Mac, and now I teach OS X to clients and people
on the web, thanks to this list.
