Hi Erik, Odd that the checkbox doesn't change. I don't turn speech off on my iphone much, so have never checked that out. Anyway, glad this helped.
You know, it's funny. When SL came out, I was really excited about the trackpad commander. But I stopped using it almost immediately, because it seemed I was always making things happen that I didn't want to, moving the cursor, opening windows, etc. My arms tend to rest on the front part of the Macbook, so when I was typing they would move across the trackpad, initiating various and sundry events. I haven't used the trackpad since shortly after I installed SL. I may give it another try someday, but for the moment I've decided it's easier to stick to the keyboard. Good luck, and let me know how it goes. Take care, Donna On Nov 3, 2009, at 12:44 PM, erik burggraaf wrote: > > Hi Donna, I just did the double tap 3 and yes it muted and unmuted my > speech.
