Have just thus downloaded the iOS update file. 

Earlier in the day I backed up my device to my Mac via way of connecting 
through the Lightning cable. 

When it’s a civilised time  instead of 12:23 AM in the morning I’ll commence 
with updating the iPhone 6 to iOS 9.
