Hi, it isn't always the case that anything in your Dropbox is duplicated on your computer. You can specify which folders you would like to sync using the selective sync option in Dropbox settings on each computer you have the client running. I just took a quick look at this on the Mac and it looks like the status of each folder may not be spoken by VO, so sighted assistance may be necessary to get it set up. I use this a lot, for example I back up about 800GB of my NAS to Dropbox, and I don't have this synced to my Dropbox on my computer.
