I have a Mac Mini with a fusion drive. As I understand it, the Siri with these
drives is that those apps or programs that are used the most get that
solid-state part of the drive. In fact, before my Mac Mini had a problem and
had to go back, it worked fine. No choppy Alex with Yosemite. Now, since they
"fixed" it, I hear the drive a lot more, and choppy Alex happened. They said
the drive had initially been missed configured. But it seems to me, it was
working great, and now it isn't. So maybe all solid-state is the answer. I
don't know.
