For those still on the 6.x version VMWare released an update on April
23. From their web site:
Fixed a rare issue where a virtual machine could freeze when reading or
writing data to a shared folder.
A virtual machine connected to the network with NAT and running many
concurrent DNS requests could cause the virtual machine to crash. This
issue has been resolved.
Fixed a rare crash with virtual machines that use the "Share with my
Mac" network connection.
Fixed problems with symbolic links created in shared folders.
Fixed an issue where VMware Fusion running on Mac OS X 10.10 would not
properly handle changes to the system audio configuration.
Fixed an issue where on a Mac with a Retina display, the H2G file DnD is
misread as a "Dock Metro App to Screen" operation by Windows 8.1 RTM VM
(9600).
In some three-monitor configurations, full screen mode would not work
across all the monitors. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed an issue where shared folders couldn't be enabled for RHEL 7.1
with kernel 3.10.0-229.e17.x86_64.
Fixed an issue where the USB arbitrator could not be dismissed on a host
running MAC OS X Yosemite 10.10.3.
Updated McAfee VirusScan Plus to version 13.6, adding Windows 8.1 support.
Removed a black flicker when switching to a full screen virtual machine.
Fixed an issue where the HGFS client driver did not compile in Ubuntu
12.04 with kernel 3.2.0-77 and Debian 7.8 with kernel 3.2.0-4.
VMware Fusion 6.0.6 has been updated to OpenSSL library version
openssl-1.0.1m. This OpenSSL library version addresses several OpenSSL
security issues including CVE-2014-3571, CVE-2015-0206, CVE-2014-3569,
CVE-2014-3572, CVE-2015-0204, CVE-2015-0205, CVE-2014-8275, and
CVE-2014-3570.
