You can just type the event title and hit enter, if you want to. That will 
place you in the window to create a new event, with the title already set to 
what you typed. However, the Quick Event feature is great, since you can just 
type the title, day, and start time (plus end dime if an hour isn't enough) and 
all that is entered for you when you press enter. It's far faster than 
activating the button to change the time, finding the time or date, 
interacting, and manually changing it. If the movie thing is throwing you off, 
know that that movie text is just an example. It's not actually in the text 
box, it's just a hint. You can hit cmd-n, type the details you want, and hit 
enter to modify the rest manually.
