Hi Mary-Jo, The area where you type the response to somebody's message is immediately to the right of the html area within which all the messages in the thread are displayed. You don't need to interact with the text area but start writing. Remember, as somebodyelse has just said, the enter key will send your message so be sure you've finished typing before you hit it. Of course, and forgive me if i'm saying something obvious, you have to select the right thread in the conversations table by interacting with the table and focusing on the name of the person you wish to respond to if you are writing a reply. This doesn't apply if you are starting a new thread.
