Hi,

Not really sure, but you’re certainly not alone. After reading your response,
I did some research on the Net. A number of things came up as factors such as
iTunes getting hung-up searching for linked devices, locations of media etc.
None of them should really, on their own, have affected iTunes so drastically,
but it appears that they have. I realize that you’ve probably stopped using
iTunes 12, but, were you having problems with iTunes extreme slowness in
day-to-day use or mostly just in the importing of media? My installation seems
to perform just fine in its day-to-day use but I haven’t attempted a large
import like you did. I, too, have a fairly large library, about 2.3 TB, not as
massive as yours but still reasonably large.

Later...
