I'll try to follow all your steps. Just some more small clarifications.
Your point number 5 says:
5. Select all the songs, non-Purchased, that you want upgraded then hit the
Delete key.
Ok, If I've got my music ordered by kind and, let's say, all the not purchased
music is from row 100 to row number 1 in the table. I move my cursor over the
line number 100, how can I select from there up to the row 1?
