First, when you say you've logged out, is that in the iCloud part of System 
Preferences? If not, give that a try.

As to videos, they might actually be there. Find the frame containing the 
video, and interact; Mavericks might be stopping the Flash plugin from loading, 
presenting a button with a label about power saving instead. Click that button 
and the video should load right up. If not, go to Safari's preferences, then 
extensions, and be sure Flash is enabled.
